Farm Union Workers Mount Intense Protest Outside Badaun SSP Office Over Alleged False Case
Farmers of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhanu faction) held a strong protest outside the SSP office in Badaun, alleging a false case against a farmer’s son and accusing the Bilsi SHO of misconduct. The demonstrators also demanded action in a separate gas agency fraud case, submitting a memorandum seeking inquiry and accountability.
According to district president Atul Tomar, the organisation approached the SSP after the family claimed that ₹20,000 had been taken from them but a wrongful case was still lodged against the youth. Tomar levelled serious allegations against the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bilsi, urging an impartial inquiry and immediate administrative action.
The demonstration also highlighted a separate case involving a gas agency vehicle operating in the Bilsi Kotwali region. Protesters demanded the SHO’s removal, citing a registered case linked to a loss of ₹6,51,739 reported by the gas agency. Speaking to officials during the protest, Tomar said the circumstances surrounding the agency’s financial loss and the officer’s alleged involvement warranted swift disciplinary measures.
The union handed over a memorandum addressed to the SSP through the Circle Officer (CO), reiterating their call for a thorough investigation. The protest underscores growing tensions between local farmers’ groups and the police administration, raising questions about accountability and transparency in law-enforcement procedures across the district.
